The Big Bang Theory returned to San Diego Comic-Con yesterday in Hall H to take you inside the biggest moments of season 10 and behind the scenes of TV’s #1 comedy for a special 10th anniversary panel. From the introduction of Penny’s family, to the baby, to that season finale moment that left fans hanging (What will Amy say?), we joined folks from the show for a lively discussion and special video presentation. From Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television, The Big Bang Theory returns for season 11 this fall, premiering Monday, September 25 at 8/7c on CBS.  Now let’s talk about this panel! Fifty Shades of Grey (Blu-ray Review)

Fifty Shades of GreyOkay.  I am sure that I will probably never hear the end about this, but I really, really enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey.  Now don’t get me wrong – I’m smart enough to say it’s not great, but it’s not terrible either.  To be completely honest, this is exactly what I expected from the film.  Fifty Shades of Grey is based on the EXTREMELY popular and unfortunately poorly-reviewed novel of the same name by E.L.James, but boy did it ever get the housewives talking.  And better yet…it’s on Blu-ray now! Kori’s Top 10 Films of 2014

Top 10Well another year has come and gone, leaving in its dust quite a year in Hollywood. We had the tragic and shocking deaths of Philip Seymour Hoffman and the beloved Robin Williams. Sony released, pulled and re-released the controversial film, The Interview, due to cyber threats and their systems getting hacked by North Korea. This move by Sony threw us all into a fury, making us as Americans wonder why we are negotiating with such a terrible person (Kim Jong Un). I am sure glad that Sony came to their senses because The Interview was HILARIOUS!! Continue reading ‘Kori’s Top 10 Films of 2014′

Comic-Con 2014: Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael!

Freddy vs. JasonOnce again, the doctors of Broadcast Thought, H. Eric Bender, M.D., Praveen R. Kambam, M.D., andVasilis K. Pozios, M.D., return to Comic-Con International with a must-see panel in my opinion.  On Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Room 7AB, they team up with very special guest, Mark Swift, co-writer of Friday the 13th (2009) and Freddy vs. Jason, to present “Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael!  Inside the Minds of Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers.”  As a lifelong fan of horror movies this one intrigues me.  Check out the rest of the full press release below! The Wolf of Wall Street (Blu-ray Review)

At last, after months of waiting since last Christmas, I was able to view my favorite movie of last year, Wolf of Wall Street, in the privacy of my own home.  As expected, once again, it did not let me down.  I re-experienced 3 hours of pure enjoyment. That’s right, I said 3 hours of enjoyment once again!!! Even without popcorn and an Icee! Martin Scorsese has truly outdone himself with this film.  Clocking in at an impressive 179 minutes, Wolf of Wall Street has set a record as Mr. Scorsese’s longest fictional film by beating out Casino by a mere one minute.  Wolf is, in my opinion, by far the director’s most exciting film in years.  Second runner up would be The Departed, but that’s a different story and review all together.  Looking back, how this film did not get a NC-17 rating is beyond me as Scorsese has pushed the boundaries of the R-rating to the absolute limits with a combination of drugs, strippers, sex, depravity and oh so much more. The Last Day on Mars (Blu-ray Review)

After seeing the trailer a couple months back I will admit that I was really looking forward to this one.  I mean who doesn’t like space exploration movies, right?  I am a huge fan of those myself.  When I found out The Last Days on Mars was on the front doorstep today I couldn’t wait to get home and watch it.  My boyfriend, however, did not share my same level of excitement for the movie after he read so many negative reviews.  In fact, that is to put it mildly.  He was down right upset about having to sit through it, but of course he would sacrifice 90 minutes for me.  So with that being said I should have known from the moment the Blu-ray jammed up our PS4 for the first time ever before we even hit play, causing him to have to reboot the whole system, that this was going to be a disaster.  I guess I am not very good subtle hints, huh?  However, I didn’t let that little mishap damper my spirits.  As of late I have been trying to be a cup half full kinda person.  Okay, lets get into it shall we? Kori’s Top 10 MUST-SEE Films of 2013

Must SeeSo another year has come and gone way too quickly, bringing with it a long list of great movies as well as some I wish I could get the hours of my life back.  So with this being said, if you are anything like me, then you have a hard time choosing which movie to commit hours of your life to. Well I know your time is precious, so being the nice person that I am, I want to help your decision making go a bit smoother.  I have compiled my list of Top 10 movies that I was lucky enough to see during this wonderful year of 2013.  I want to give you some of my rules for this list though.  They really are quite simple. I chose from the movies released theatrically in 2013 that I saw.  This does not include any older movies that I may have finally caught up on and watched this year, and obviously, nothing that I did not have the chance to see. ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Huffs And Puffs And Blows Away Its Competition (Movie Review)

Wolf of Wall Street TNAt last, after months of teasing trailers, I was able to sit in on a pre-screening of my most anticipated movie of the year, Wolf of Wall Street. As expected, it did not let me down. I had 3 hours of pure enjoyment. That’s right, I said 3 hours!!! Even without popcorn! Second runner up would be The Departed. How this film did not get a NC-17 rating is beyond me. Scorsese has pushed the boundaries of R rating to the absolute limits with a combination of drugs, strippers, sex, depravity and oh so much more. Not that I am complaining about that, because in no way am I. So do I have your attention yet?? Ok, I cannot wait any longer to dive into this brilliant film. Join Marley & Friends For An Awesome Day Of Family Fun

It’s events like these that really make me sad that I don’t live on the glorious West Coast.  If I did, I would be here for this.  It’s not because of Marley & Me, but instead for my love of animals.  Although I can never bring myself to ever watch Marley & Me, something tells me I could probably stomach Marley & Me: The Puppy Years.  I think!  Anyway, the Blu-ray comes out on August 16th, but all the fun is to be had on the 13th.  Read the full press release below for more details.
