Bad Teacher turned out to be a decent-sized hit during this summer, which featured many R-rated comedies. I thought it was fun enough (review HERE), but now people will have their chance to own it for themselves, as Bad Teacher comes to Blu-ray on October 18^th. As you may recall, the film stars Cameron Diaz as a foul-mouthed teacher who is more focused on landing the rich husband of her dreams, opposed to actually teaching her students anything. The film costars Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel, along with a number of funny supporting actors as well. The Blu-ray actually includes both theatrical and unrated versions of the film, so be prepared to enjoy additional footage of this raunchy comedy this October. The Unrated Blu-ray, Combo Pack and DVD all include both the Unrated and Theatrical Film Versions. The Unrated Version of the film includes over six minutes of raunchy footage not seen in theaters.

Synopsis

Elizabeth Halsey (Diaz) is ruthless, wildly inappropriate and says exactly what’s on her mind. She may be working as a teacher, but her real occupation is to find a rich man to support her and get her out of the middle school for good. When she’s dumped by her fiancé, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Timberlake) – competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Punch), while disregarding the advances of the school’s irreverent gym teacher (Segel). Elizabeth’s schemes and their wild consequences prove that she truly doesn’t give an “F.”

BAD TEACHER was directed by Jake Kasdan (Walk Hard, “Californication”) and written by Gene Stupnitsky & Lee Eisenberg (upcoming Ghostbusters 3, “The Office”). It was produced by Jimmy Miller (The Other Guys, Step Brothers) and David Householter (The Other Guys, Step Brothers). Executive producers are Georgia Kacandes (Syriana, Blow), Jake Kasdan, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. BAD TEACHER was released by Columbia Pictures. It has a run time of approximately 89 minutes and has been rated R for sexual content, nudity, language and some drug use.
