Lethal Ladies of Horror Triple Feature in LA on October 17th

Artwork page 2-001I should start by noting this is a location-specific event, as this awesome-looking horror event will be taking place at the Historic Regency Village Theater, in Los Angeles.  With that out of the way, this upcoming event is a themed horror marathon, the “Lethal Ladies of Horror”, featuring the films Night of the Comet, Christine, and the upcoming remake of Carrie.  This event is being brought to audiences by the same folks involved in putting together the “Evil Dead Fest” earlier this year, which screened all four Evil Dead films and was a ton of fun.  This means the films will have a lot of additional fun going on in between films and within the theater lobby as well, which includes Q&As with cast and crew from the films, prize giveaways, props from the film (such as a very specific car) and more!  I’ll note right now that I’ll be posting an interview from two of the stars of one of these films in the very near future, but for now, continue on to learn more about this exciting, upcoming event.  IMPORTANT UPDATE: This event has been cancelled.

This will be an amazing event for all fans of horror and those with an appreciation for strong roles by women in horror.  (Thus our association with the SAG-AFTRA National Women’s Committee)  As always we will have much for fans who attend the fest including great concession specials, cool Lethal Ladies themed décor and even the arcade game Tempest so prominently featured in Night of the Comet in the lobby for fans to enjoy – it’s going to be a night to remember.

The “Night of the Comet” lethal ladies Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney will be in attendance to represent this 80’s classic.  Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, Regency is proud to not only present a big screen presentation of “Christine”, but there will also be a special viewing of “Christine” herself – the 1958 Plymouth Fury.  This is one of only two cars left in existence that was actually used in the film as it will be on display for fans to enjoy.  Plus as a bonus we will have the cast and crew from “Christine” in house as well for a Q&A after the show.  The new “Carrie” starring Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore will be the final film of the night and actress Portia Doubleday will be on hand to not only intro the film but also hand out some special prizes for fans.

Regency is once again teaming up with the horror site Arrow in the Head for this fest and Arrow writer James “Jimmy O” Oster will again host and moderate the event.
