‘RUN’ – A 3D Parkour Movie – Hits Blu-ray This January

RUN_BR_2D_4_-001In case you missed the parkour craze of the mid-00s, Run has got you covered.  Sure this movie basically looks like the Step Up equivalent of freerunning chase movies, but I tend to enjoy Parkour on film and even if the film has few other things in the way of credible merit, it will probably be entertaining in some manner nonetheless.  It may not be District B13 awesome (recommend!), but it’s something.  Plus, I have linked the trailer, which features an evil Eric Roberts brandishing a glass of wine and threatening some street punk.  Sounds good to me!  The 3D + 2D Blu-ray hits shelves on January 14th.  Continue on to learn more about this upcoming film.

Los Angeles, CA (December 4, 2013) — Millennium Entertainment is proud to announce the home entertainment release of the high-flying thriller Run. Written and directed by Simone Bartesaghi, Run took home the Best Screenplay prize at the Milan International Film Festival, as well as the Director to Watch award at the Los Angeles 3D Film Festival. Audiences can own Run on DVD and 3D +2D Blu-Ray™ on January 14, 2014 for an SRP of $19.99 (DVD) and $24.99 (BD).

Set on the streets of New York, Run is an action-packed crime-thriller featuring the jaw-dropping athletic discipline of parkour, always moving forward despite obstacles within the environment. Evading the mob, Mike (Adrian Pasdar, ABC Family’s “The Lying Game”, NBC’s “Heroes”) and his son Daniel (William Moseley, The Chronicles of Narnia series) have lived a nomadic life on the fringe of society for 16 years, and have used Daniel’s natural parkour skills as a way to make a living by pulling off robberies. Now living in New York, Daniel has made true friends for the first time in his life, and wants to leave the life of crime behind. Mike plans one last job, but when the scheme doesn’t go as expected, Daniel discovers his father’s past is darker than he imagined. As Daniel is pulled deeper into the world of crime, he is forced to put everything he holds dear in jeopardy, including the love of his life.

Run’s all-star cast also includes Kelsey Chow (CW’s “One Tree Hill”, Disney XD’s “Pair of Kings”), Edoardo Ballerini (HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”, Romeo Must Die), Craig Henningsen (NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, NBC’s “Smash”) and Eric Roberts (Lovelace, The Expendables, NBC’s “Heroes”, The Dark Knight).
