Sundance Horror Sensation IN FEAR Scares On Blu-ray This March!

In FearWhen you bill something as a Sundance Horror Sensation or one of the best horror movies of the year, people tend to take notice.  At least I do!  So that’s why when my favorite PR person over at Anchor Bay sent me this email today I know I had to not only get news of this Blu-ray release up on the website as soon as possible, but also that of the film’s domestic trailer and theatrical poster (same as Blu-ray cover art).  You see, before In Fear‘s March 11th release on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD, the movie will also get treated to exclusive U.S. theatrical engagements too.  Check out the trailer and full press release below.  Enjoy!

BEVERLY HILLS, CA –, Having already conquered the Sundance Film Festival, In Fear, the critically acclaimed feature film debut of writer/director Jeremy Lovering, arrives March 11th on Blu-ray™, VOD and DVD from Anchor Bay Films. In Fear will also enjoy several U.S. exclusive theatrical engagements starting Friday, March 7th.

Starring Iain De Caestecker (ABC’s hit series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”), Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures) and Allen Leech (“Downton Abbey”), In Fear has taken the horror world by storm, garnering rave reviews wherever it is played. The film stunned audiences in international film festivals in nine countries, including Canada’s Toronto After Dark, Germany’s Rosebud Entertainment Fantasy Festival, Spain’s Fancine – Festival de Cine Fantastico and South Korea’s Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.

In Fear is a tense psychological horror about a young couple’s fight to make it through the night. Home invasion but in a car. In real-time. Tom (De Caestecker) and Lucy (Englert) are trapped in a maze of country roads with only their vehicle for protection, terrorized by an unseen tormentor hell-bent on exploiting their worst fears. Driving, lost and tormented in the night, primal fears of the dark and the unknown give way to fear that you have let the evil in, or that it is already there.

JoBlo called In Fear “…a great film to watch curled up with a date on a dark and stormy night,” while Screen Daily hailed it as “an old-fashioned white-knuckle horror thriller.” TotalFilm gave the film 4 stars with “shredded-nerve performances,” and Arrow In The Head warning viewers that “you won’t be eager to go on any road trips soon after.”
