Agreed Brian, I actually think this movie failed to deliver some kind of wrap up for the story between Sam and Bumblebee, which is a shame as that would have at least tied this trilogy together in some way.

I got dragged to this last night and I was kind of bored. I agree with Aaron that the first film just had the iconic shots that neither of the last two have. Well they have them, but they feel forced because they are not magical like the first film. I can't help feeling if not for the bond between Sam and Bumblebee, I would not care for these flicks. That emotional tug is the glue that holds this series together.

Indeed I do. I'll jump through a closed window if I have to hear one more time that Skidz and Mudflap were racist-like characters. That movie didn't need the college roommate or John Turturro's jock strap, but it was still a kick ass action flick. More unnecessary aspects in this third installment, but heck, I wouldn't have minded seeing the Dinobots.

I forgot that Gregg considers "Revenge" a good movie. I think my rating is almost inconsequential. I really just add it so people don't ask me later. We probably have the same opinion about the flick, just differ on wear that would scale in terms of a black & white number.

Does it have the best battles? I guess. Although the first one has two iconic action shots, with Scorpionoc jumping out of the sand in slo-mo chasing the soldiers and Optimus and Bonecrusher colliding on the freeway. I can remember some key scenes from this film, but I don't have an iconic image in my mind like those.

Wow, I agree with everything here except that final rating. I would've went a little higher. There's no mistaking that this film has the best battle of the 3 movies. However, overall, I enjoyed Revenge of the Fallen more and of course the original more than that. "Bloated" is an accurate description of the early part of this movie. All the human interaction was so fast, disjointed and head-scratching that it injured this movie as a whole. Whiteley was a great replacement. Malkovich is a great actor but his screen time was forced and unnecessary. Optimus rocks. Turturro was used better here than in the last film.
