Janus Films and Criterion to Release Paul Thomas Anderson’s CAMERON WINTER AT CARNEGIE HALL
Janus Films and Criterion have acquired all rights in North America to CAMERON WINTER AT CARNEGIE HALL, the new concert film capturing the sold-out solo performance of the Geese frontman in December of 2025. The film was directed and shot on 35mm and 16mm film by filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another) and the music was recorded and produced for the film and previously announced Live Album by music producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Grammy winner for albums with Vampire Weekend and Adele). The film is co-produced by filmmaker and actor Benny Safdie (The Smashing Machine) and produced by Sara Murphy, Erica Frauman and Maggie Ambrose.

NEW CONCERT FILM BEGINS NOVEMBER 20
An exclusive North American 35mm tour of CAMERON WINTER AT CARNEGIE HALL begins on November 20th. The prints will be made by Fotokem in Los Angeles, supervised by the filmmakers.

Synopsis
Cameron Winter, in December 2025, after a months-long sold-out tour with his band Geese, returned to New York to play a single show at Carnegie Hall. This is the movie.
GQ praised Cameron Winter’s show at Carnegie Hall as “staggeringly good,” and Nick Cave said he has “a glorious, emotive voice with brilliant, blistering words, a racked and wondrous thing.” Winter’s solo album Heavy Metal was named one of the best of the year by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste and Mojo and Geese’s last record Getting Killed was named the best album of 2025 by The New Yorker, NME, and Stereogum. Winter was one of the youngest people ever to headline Carnegie Hall (at 23), edged out slightly by Bob Dylan (22, in 1963).
