LAKE PLACID Collector’s Edition Lands On Blu-ray July 8th!
Scream Factory will be bringing the Betty White classic LAKE PLACID to Blu-ray on July 8th. Its going to feature a new making of featurette with plenty of returning cast and crew to look back at the film. Now, I admittedly wasn’t a big fan of this movie back in 1999. However, I’m more than willing to go back and give this one another look. Maybe I’ll be more in tune to what the movie is delivering this time. I mean, it did spawn a handful of SyFy Originals/straight-to-video films, so its got a fanbase. It’s also part of more relatively “newer” films or ones from the late 90s/early 2000s that Scream Factory is beginning to acquire and put out. I know this has a fanbase, but the only thing I liked about it was that it was the first time I remember seeing sweet Betty White in such an obscene, hilariously nasty role. Nowadays though, it’s a lot more commonplace.
