I don’t know. I think I may becoming an Emily Blunt fan after seeing the trailer for the newest film she is going to be in with Matt Damon, The Adjustment Bureau. Anyway, that’s not the reason we are here. From director Jonathan Lynn (The Whole Nine Yards) comes this lively British remake of the 1993 French hit “Cible Emouvante.” Victor Maynard (Nighy) is a middle-aged, solitary assassin whose professional routine is interrupted when he falls for his intended hit, Rose (Blunt). When he spares Rose’s life, Victor inadvertently acquires a young apprentice, Tony (Grint). Believing Victor to be a private detective, his two new companions tag along, while he attempts to thwart the murderous intentions of his unhappy client, resulting in comedic mayhem.
I love Emily Blunt. I saw the trailer for this in front of the Solomon Kane UK blu-ray months ago and it made me chuckle. I dig the cast, and Bill Nighy is a hoot.
I may give this one a spin when it hits stateside.
I also saw the trailer for this and was interested. Hit man comedies and Bill Nighy get me excited for most things.
