Blu-ray’s Orphan Halloween Surprise!
Due to our flight being cancelled going out to Comic-Con, this past July, I missed out on an opportunity to meet and interview the Orphan‘s writer David Johnson. You can’t even imagine how bummed I was. Next, I missed out on seeing this movie in the theaters and all the patrons I know who went and saw the Orphan had nothing but praise for it. Needless to say, I was bummed again, not having seen it. I have been vigilent and spoiler-free in anticipation of this film and it’s surprise ending. So what is Esther’s secret? I don’t know, but I am definitely going to find out, for myself, on October 27th when Warner Bros. releases the Orphan on our format of choice, Blu-ray. Halloween always holds a special place in my heart and I can’t think of a better way to start the Halloween holiday week off with a viewing of the Orphan on Blu-ray.
So far we know that the Blu-ray will feature a 1080P VC-1 video presentation along with a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio surround track. Known bonus materials, at this time, include a “chilling” alternate ending, additional scenes, a digital copy of the film and a featurette called “Mama’s Little Devils: Bad Seeds, Evil Kids and Orphan.
