IFC Debuts ‘An Invisible Sign’ Trailer
A frumpy Jessica Alba is a girl who obsesses over numbers. When her mathematician father is overtaken by mental illness she will have to overcome her own weird behaviors if she is going to lead a somewhat normal life. You didn’t think it was going to be that easy, did you? IFC has released the trailer for An Invisible Sign which doesn’t look all that bad. If one were to take An Invisible Sign at face value it could be considered downright wholesome. An Invisible Sign is available on ON DEMAND as we speak and will roll out to theaters May 6th.
Synopsis:
Young Mona idolizes her father, a brilliant mathematician. When he suddenly demonstrates signs of mental illness, Mona begins to obsess about numbers, using them to interpret an unpredictable and threatening world. Now an adult (Jessica Alba), Mona’s old superstitions and compulsive behaviors continue to flourish, but a new job as an elementary school math teacher (a position she both relishes and dreads), may force her out of her protective shell. With imagination and humor, as well as a special sensitivity to the realities of mental illness, AN INVISIBLE SIGN carries a magic all its own.
Great, another movie to showcase Alba’s acting talents. If only she could top Machete…
She’s very tenacious, Aaron.
That’s certainly what the poster indicates.
And they even managed to make her ugly. Go figure! This movie’s going to rock!
Brian doesn’t get our sarcasm.
This is great story
