The Daily Blu…November 3, 2009
First of all, Happy G.I. Joe day! One of my favorite films of the year, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, made its Blu-ray debut today and I could not be happier. Fans of the film, or peeps wanting to learn more about the Blu-ray edition, should check out our own Brian White’s Blu-ray review of the film over at Into The Blu. While it was not a winner at the box office this summer, please extend a very warm welcome for Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 releasing on the Blu-ray format January 12th. Supposedly, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be helping The Weinstein Co. put it out. No further details are known at this time about the release. Last but not least, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are together again in Sony’s Universal Soldiers: A New Beginning, which will be dropping on Blu-ray January 5th.
Word on the street is that the Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy box set has been indefinitely postponed. If we get any further word about its eventual release we will keep you posted.
That’s it for today! Have a great night of hopeful rest!
