New York Comic Con: Day 3 Social Wrap Up

New York Comic Con Day 3 RecapDay 3 at New York Comic Con was dominated by television and unsurprisingly the biggest buzz of the day went to The Walking Dead. Season 5 of the smash hit zombie-filled drama premieres tonight on AMC and yesterday’s panel gave fans a look at the first 4 minutes of the last night’s episode.  Cast and crew were also on hand to answer questions on how the show will be developing this season, helping The Walking Dead generate 18,256 mentions and 4,664 Intent-to-View mentions.  However, The Walking Dead had tough competition for the Day 3 top spot from Marvel’s latest TV show Daredevil, which will be premiering exclusively on Netflix soon.  The series, which stars Boardwalk Empire favourite Charlie Cox in the title role, held a panel where cast and crew presented the first footage from the series, as well as promotional posters and pictures.  The Netflix series generated 17,762 mentions and 2,111 ITV mentions during the course of NYCC Day 3.

The big film winner was The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which had an unofficial panel curated by OneRing.net.  The panel speculated on what fans might see in the film, divulged some inside information and some unofficial sneak peaks.

Arrow’s Stephen Amell was the big individual hit of the day, generating 5,606 mentions.  The actor’s spotlight session was extremely popular with fans, who also had the opportunity to meet the star during the day for autographs and photos.

ONE HECK OF A PROMOTER!!! Also a Dreamer, Producer, Agent of Love, Film Lover, Writer of Screenplays and a Devoted Apostle to all things Ford Mustangs (the real ones with V8's!). Some of my favorite films include FIGHT CLUB, MOULIN ROUGE, THE DARK KNIGHT, STAR WARS alongside television shows such as SEINFELD, 24, SANFORD & SON and even the often loathed in the geek community BIG BANG THEORY. Outside of my three lives I live I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our three girls (of the furry kind).
