Comic-Con 2010: Captain America: The First Avenger
It’s kind of safe to say that Marvel Studios owned Hall H Saturday evening, for obvious reasons. First up was everyone’s favorite American hero…none other than Captain America. Chris Evans (Captain America himself) took the stage along with co-star Hugo Weaving (The Red Skull). The crowd’s roar was almost deafening as they premiered the first-ever teaser trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger. It was not enough to give insight as to whether or not the movie will be any good, but it definitely served to whet my appetite. Supposedly they just started filming on the project so the 5 seconds we see of Chris in a suit is just for the fanboys in tattendance, not the real thing. They also screened a clip of Hugo Weaving’s character, The Red Skull, finding an object that belonged to Thor if I am not mistaken. Captain America: The First Avenger has a release date of July 22, 2011. It’s going to be a summer to remember next year, that much is certain.
As with the other Marvel panels, I was in the press pit taking pictures so forgive me for not having any real substance to this story, but try to enjoy the below pictures nonetheless. Thanks for reading!
