JUST ANNOUNCED…Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced the Blu-ray release date of the third installment in the ever-popular Underworld series, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, on May 12th.  The video will be presented in a 1080P AVC MPEG-4 encode with a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD surround track.  The Blu-ray release will also include a digital copy of the film.  Surprise, surprise..we already have confirmation of extras that will be included on the Blu-ray release.  Known extras include “Cinechat” (Sony’s on-screen instant messaging feature), “Behind the Castle Walls” Picture-in-Picture track, a werewolf sightings documentary, “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans – From Script to Screen” featurette, “The Origin of Feud” featurette, “Re-creating the Dark Ages- The Look of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” featurette, a music video by William Control, Filmmaker’s commentary and more BD-Live exclusive content.
