Star Wars: Episode VII Cast Announced
When you get an e-mail that states, “Join us at StarWars.com and www.facebook.com/starwars for breaking Star Wars: Episode VII news!” and then realize all of your various social media threads are blowing up about what Disney and J.J. Abrams are cooking up, it stands to reason that something important is going on, so I figured I would join in and post the official announcement of the cast list for Star Wars: Episode VII. While we still know next to nothing about the film, we now know that a good portion of the original cast will be returning, along with some new faces to the Star Wars universe, including Inside Llewyn Davis’ Oscar Isaac, Girls’ Adam Driver, and Attack the Block‘s John Boyega. Continue on to read the official statement from Abrams and to see a picture of the cast and crew, including Harrison “I don’t know and I don’t care” Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and many more.
The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
Director J.J. Abrams says, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

The name I got most excited about was Max Von Sydow. Not only do I love the old man, it came as a complete surprise. I think he’ll be a natural fit in the Star Wars universe.
I think he plays an Ewok warrior/Lando’s cousin – Syndo 🙂
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS AARON!!!
