‘The Killer Inside Me’ Sneaks Out This June!
It’s been a long time since the beautiful Jessica Alba has graced me with her presence on the silver screen. Gerard is rolling his eyes at me right now. Valentine’s Day just doesn’t count. Well anyway, SHE’S BACK! Better than ever? Well, I’m counting down the days until June 18th to find out for myself. If you have been following media news as of late, then you would know that there is a lot of buzz and controversy surrounding her newest film The Killer Inside Me. Supposedly Mr. Casey Affleck does a real number on her. A bruised Alba is always better than no Alba, I always say. Does that even make sense? Oh well, no matter. It looks like the IFC Film will follow in the footsteps of The Human Centipede and the only way to catch this one will probably be in the small art house theaters and at home On Demand. I will opt for the latter. If I’m able to catch this one On Demand, then expect a full review. I’m interested in seeing if this is disturbing as they say it is. How can I let Casey hit Jessica like that? This might be a hard one to watch. Check out the trailer below.
‘Based on the novel by legendary pulp writer Jim Thompson, Michael Winterbottom’s THE KILLER INSIDE ME tells the story of handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff’s deputy Lou Ford. Lou has a bunch of problems. Woman problems. Law enforcement problems. An ever-growing pile of murder victims in his West Texas jurisdiction.
And the fact he’s a sadist, a psychopath, a killer. Suspicion begins to fall on Lou, and it’s only a matter of time before he runs out of alibis. But in Thompson’s savage, bleak, blacker than noir universe nothing is ever what it seems, and it turns out that the investigators pursuing him might have
a secret of their own.“Electrifying… Straddles the fence between darkness and light, sex and violence, love and hate, capturing the inferno burning inside the mind of one man.” Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times”
‘The Killer Inside Me’ is an intelligent and gripping take on classic film noir.” Stephen Dalton, The Times of London.
For those in the Cleveland area, this will be playing the Cedar Lee starting July 16. The book by Jim Thompson is one of my favorites, so I will definitely go see it in the theater.
Awesome! Let me know when u are going up and I will meet you out there!
