Introducing THE BRANDON PETERS SHOW!
Greetings! Tis your favorite Blu-ray reviewer here on the site not named Gerard Iribe. I wanted to share with you the launch of my brand new podcast, THE BRANDON PETERS SHOW! Yesterday, the first episode was released to the world, but I felt today might be the more apt day to introduce it to the Why So Blu-0-sphere. Having amassed over 1,300 Blu-ray reviews here on this site, my passion for the media is one I’m always wanting to find new was to explore and promote. And with this podcast, I’m going to sink my teeth into that side of me a bit more. After the first episode and an interview I just did last night to promote the show on Flappers Comedy Club’s “Talkin’ Talkies”, its been readily apparent that my old days of DVD & Quality Control are hitting a nostalgic reflection with The Brandon Peters Show. Now, quite yapping and tell me why it is that you think I’m over here on the Blu-ray spec review site and interesting this podcast?
The Brandon Peters Show is a bit of an ambitious endeavor for me, but its one I’m passionate about bringing to life. Its a podcast that you’ll be able to take with you throughout your week. There will be episodes dropping 3-5 times per week. Nuts right?
On Tuesdays, since that’s our favorite day of the week (NEW RELEASES!), I’ll be releasing a segment called 4K BLUsday The podcast episode will find me going over some of the more notable announcements from the previous week with my own thoughts as well as the noted titles releasing that day. I’ll also make a “Pick of the Week” and a “Classic Pick of the Week”.
Now, it doesn’t end there. I’ve also begun a companion YouTube channel for the site which you’ll be able to go to after you listen to the podcast and I’ll have a video there of myself giving you a visual look at the titles I’m able to, as well as some that I didn’t mention on the audio show. Sure, it’ll look similar to an unboxing video, but my intention is to enhance the podcast and enhance the reviews. I’ve got background and I have more to add than simply holding up a title and saying “Well, this is neat” and moving on. I also don’t want it to come across as “Look at what I have and you don’t”. That’s not my intention, my intention is to share my professionalism, expertise and passion.
I really hope you both check it out and enjoy it. And feedback is always welcome. I’ll get more used to and better at the on camera presentation as I go, but this is a decent start.
