The Daily Blu…October 2, 2009
Oh no! Not another day of no Blu-ray news and web hosting problems! Say it ain’t so? I’m afraid that it. Oh well. At least it’s Friday and I do have one bit of Blu-ray news to talk about. I’m not really feeling good about this news so it pains me to be the bearer of it. It seems that Wal-Mart has exclusive rights to selling the IMAX version of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-ray. According to Michael Bay’s website Wal-Mart will be the only retail store allowed to carry and sell the IMAX version which is rumored to contain about one extra minute of footage. The IMAX version will feature the changing aspect ratios much like you saw on 2008’s The Dark Knight Blu-ray release. As much as I love Wal-Mart, I really am not feeling this news at all.
In movie news, the web is buzzing about how bad The Rock’s upcoming 2010 movie ,Tooth Fairy, looks. When people call the trailer worse looking than the new Alvin & The Chipmunks movie you know it must be bad. I have not seen it yet to be able to comment on it. I am just reporting on what I have read today. The film features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ashley Judd. Has Dwayne ever made a good movie? And Ashley…don’t even get me started on how she threw away her talent years ago.
