The Disturbing Horror Story, ‘The Bay’ Arrives March 5
Coming this March to DVD and Digital Download, The Bay, from director Barry Levinson (Rain Man). I missed my chance to see this film, when it was in limited release and have not yet tried to rent it OnDemand, but now I wont have to worry about missing it, come March 5, 2013. From what I have been told by a colleague of mine,The Bay may be one of the scariest films to have come out in recent memory. I will be curious to find out of that is true, but for now, I can only sit back and wait to see if this story of a town infected by a deadly disease turns into something that I really end up being terrified by and liking a lot. Continue on to learn more about this upcoming release, including the special features available on the disc.

Two million fish washed ashore. One thousand blackbirds dropped from the sky. On July 4, 2009 a deadly menace swept through the quaint seaside town of Claridge, Maryland, but the harrowing story of what happened that Independence Day has never been told – until now. The authorities believed they had buried the truth about the tragedy that claimed over 700 human lives. Now, three years later, a reporter has emerged with footage revealing the cover-up and an unimaginable killer: a mysterious parasitic outbreak. Told from the perspective of those who were there and saw what happened, The Bay unfolds over 24 hours through people’s iPhones, Androids, 911 calls, web cams and whatever else could be used to document the nightmare in Claridge. With a screenplay by Michael Wallach and a story by Barry Levinson and Michael Wallach; the film is directed by Barry Levinson.
