Growing up, I was a big fan of the original Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon. I think what attracted me a lot to the cartoon was how much I embraced serialized storytelling. The original cartoon would often leave off on a cliffhanger at multiple points in an episode or at the tail end. Even before there was a live action movie, when they started putting the old episodes on VHS in the late 80s there was a resurgence in its popularity even leading to CBS re-airing episodes on Friday nights one summer. During the Rocky and Bullwinkle show there were other cartoons mixed in like Dudley Do-Right. One of those cartoons was Mr. Peabody & Sherman (also, notable was Dudley Doo Right). That cartoon was resurrected earlier this year in a hit live action cartoon which is now coming to glorious Blu-ray. Below you can read all about this release!
