‘Colombiana’ Unrated Version Shoots It Out On Blu-ray™

Revenge is definitely a beautiful genre, especially when you’re talking about the Zoe Saldana thriller Colombiana.  The never-before-seen unrated version arrives on Blu-ray with UltraViloet and DVD on December 20th, and I for one, couldn’t be happier about it!  Colombiana is a scandalous blend of action, sex and violence and if you haven’t experienced it before, then what better way than to make Blu-ray your first time.  Here’s to hoping you fall in love with Colombiana like I did.  Check out the full press release below for more details.

(Oct. 20, 2011) – Revenge has never looked sexier than when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings the gripping thriller, Colombiana to Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 20, 2011.  From the writers of Taken, Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, the gritty action–packed film stars Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) as a fiery assassin on the quest for vengeance for her parents’ murder.  Alongside Saldana, the film also stars Michael Vartan (“Hawthorne”, “Alias”), Jordi Molla (Knight and Day), Lenni James (Snatch) and Cliff Curtis (“Trauma”).

Directed by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3), Colombiana boasts five all-new behind-the-scenes featurettes.  Both the Blu-ray and DVD will be released with an unrated version of the film with footage never seen in theaters.

Colombiana Synopsis:

Cataleya (Saldana) is a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child.  Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
