Interview with Hatchet II’s Danielle Harris

Today I got the chance to chat with horror’s first “Scream Queen,” Miss Danielle Harris.  To say I wasn’t looking forward to this day would be like saying I don’t like getting presents.  I love getting presents!  Miss Harris is most notably famous for her roles in the Halloween series, as young Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and some twenty years later as Annie Brackett in Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. Her career has also spawned reoccurring television roles in series such as Roseanne (1992-1993), The Wild Thornberrys (1998-2004), That’s Life (2000-2002) and more.  But really, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  If I told you all the projects, films and television shows Danielle has been involved in during her young career, your head would explode.  So to say that Danielle Harris is just another horror movie actress would just simply be a lie.  There’s so much more to this young talent than meets the eye.

Most recently, Danielle Harris reprised the role of Marybeth, vacated by actress Tamara Feldman, in Adam Green’s Hatchet II.  And I couldn’t be happier about it!  For those of you living under a rock as of late or grounded by your parents from the world for the past eight months…last year’s Hatchet II went on to become the first unrated independent horror film to be exhibited by a major theater chain in more than 25 years.  And guess what?  Danielle is the leading lady of it all!  Lucky for you…Hatchet II just got released on DVD and Blu-ray this past Tuesday!  Check out my full Blu-ray review of the title here.  But seriously…what are you waiting for?  Bring home Hatchet II and all of Danielle’s films today!  You owe it to yourselves!  However, before I get ahead of myself…I think I promised you all an interview with the American sweetheart, did I not?  Well…come on!  A promise is a promise.

It may have been snowing and blistering outside my office window, but there was nothing except warmth and sunshine inside my room while I was speaking to Miss Harris on the phone today.  She truly is as sweet as she looks.  She puts the sun in California.  Anyway…I digress…thanks for taking the time to chat today, Danielle.  It was a pleasure.  I wish you nothing but the best in all you do!  Folks…keep your eyes on this girl.  She’s the real deal in Hollywood!

And now…without further ado…I give to you my uncensored audio interview with the beautiful Danielle Harris.  Eat your hearts out guys!

I know, but I couldn’t do that to the girl. I love her too much. I know what it’s like to be picked on growing up short. It’s not fun 🙁
