Marvel’s Elektra sparkles on Blu-ray this May. Or at least I hope it does. I have to admit, as much as a let down as this movie initially was, it’s still a guilty pleasure of mine. Jennifer Garner looks hot reprising her role as Elektra and the inclusion of this being a Director’s Cut on Blu-ray sounds a bit promising. At least to me it does. My pre-order has already been filled. Has yours? Why wait? Elektra (Garner) is murdered by a ruthless killer but brought back to life by Stick (Stamp), a blind martial arts master. Ugh! This movie was awful and that’s coming from a former Marvel stockholder. I can’t imagine a director’s cut doing much to save this film. I like Jennifer Garner, I don’t mind Elektra but together, these two weren’t a match. Outside of the tattoo villain, there wasn’t much for me to enjoy here.
