Here is a double-dose of Blu-ray news for comedies from the FX network (soon to be seen on FXX). It’s Always Sunny I Philadelphia Season 8 and The League Season 4 both hit shelves on September 10th. For those unaware, ‘Sunny’ follows the insane and hilarious shenanigans of four friends and Danny DeVito (probably the best way to address this group), who own a bar in Philadelphia. The League is one of my favorite comedies on TV right now and anyone worried that it is all about football should put that thought to rest. It is about a group of friends that participate in a fantasy football league, yes, but actual football knowledge is never the focus (I don’t watch football and I love this show), as things are more focused on these guys and gal having fun at each other’s expense. Regardless, you can read on to learn more about these upcoming releases.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 8
Synopsis:
America’s favorite back-stabbing bar owners are at it again in the outrageously over-the-top Season Eight of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia! Join the gang at Paddy’s Pub for more disagreements, divisiveness, debauchery and depravity as Charlie and Dee find love among Philadelphia’s high society, and Dennis crashes his ex-wife’s wedding. Frank loses his memory – and his mind – in a hopeless search for lost treasure, and insanity ensues when the whole gang winds up in therapy. Featuring an all-star cast and loaded to the hilt with hilariously inappropriate and unrated content, Season Eight rules the world!
