Gaga & Glee, Together Again

Last year during the inaugural season of Fox’s smash hit Glee, the show paid homage to one of the most controversial and popular performers in our midst today; Lady Gaga.  Performing her hits such as “Bad Romance” and a playful ballad rendition of “Poker Face,” the cast proficiently carried her work to their show.  So what’s next in store for the musical comedy?

Another Lady Gaga episode will take place during this season of Glee.  It will allegedly be filmed this February with an expected air date some time in April.  With a new album on the horizon, Lady Gaga is bound to once again dominate radio air play and it’s almost certain her first single off of that record, “Born This Way,” will be a bankable crowd pleaser.  It’s possible that Glee creator Ryan Murphy will be utilizing that song and the somewhat distant air date is a result of music rights on currently unreleased album (and song).  Though the pop star is still successfully touring with her previous material, it would only make ratings sense for Murphy and the Glee crew to use something new from Gaga’s arsenal.

    I care for neither.

    Hahaha! Thank you for thoughts!

I’ve only seen a couple of of episodes of Glee and I’m not that familiar with her music being the geezer that I am. What I’ve heard of her music doesn’t really impress me though. They need to do a Beatles episode on Glee!

Now I’m not a Beatles fan but I totally agree with you. Very few have had the impact on modern music that the Beatles have.

If they do Beatles, then they have to do a Black Sabbath episode!

The Beatles have obviously had a bigger impact on music, but Black Sabbath set the precedent for heavy metal. Still, I don’t see Glee doing anything that heavy. Kiss was about as hard rock as they are going to get (and that’s not even hard rock).
