Goonies Never Say Die! 25th Anniversary Box Set!
One of the greatest movies of the 80s is finally coming to Blu-ray and it’s coming in style! The Goonies 25th Anniversary Box Set will arrive this September with a lot of extra goodies. I’ve always loved this movie and I think this was a one of those rare movies that is a part of our cultural landscape and loved by most of my generation. You can’t go wrong when the movie was conceptualized by Steven Spielberg, written by Chris Columbus, and directed by Richard Donner and has a fantastic cast. The whole premise that kids my age could go on an incredible adventure and find pirate treasure and have sword fights on an actual pirate galleon was just irresistible to me and it still is to this day. This is a fun family movie that successfully mixed action, comedy, swashbuckling, and a dose of reality which is rare and hard to pull off. If for some reason you’ve never seen this movie, you owe to yourself to watch it when it comes out on Blu-ray! Join the search for One-Eyed Willie! Check out all of the goodies that come with the set below:

I don’t know. I love THE GOONIES, but I don’t need all this, for lack of a better term, “crap.” I will pick this up when they offer it as a bare bones release. In the meantime, Gerard can buy the UK Import 🙂
If you don’t want all the goodies, you can pick up the single disc blu-ray which I believe comes out at the same time as the box set. The link for it is listed! I want all the extras but I’m mainly happy that this is finally coming out on Blu-ray!
I hope it looks good!
