LIMA Invades Sin City!

Greetings from the beautiful, sun drenched city of Las Vegas, Nevada.  I love it out here if you can’t tell.  Anyway, I’m writing in from the international merchandising convention, LIMA (Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association), going on now through Thursday this week at Mandalay Bay’s convention center.  Like Comic-Con, this convention floor is remarkably huge.   It took me hours to get around the floor itself.  This may not be everyone’s proverbial cup of tea, but the fanboy in me is loving every minute of it.   I can go on and on and talk about my experience here today, but I don’t want to bore you all.   I truly believe that in most cases pictures speak louder than words so I will shut up and share some that I snapped today (Tuesday) on my phone of choice, my iPhone 4 (I’m also an Apple fanboy in case you did not know that about me). I think after you look through these you can get an overall sense of what LIMA is all about.  Enjoy!

Dr. Who Toys!

Everyone’s favorite serial killer!

This sign is made up of thousands of little cars.

You gotta get around somehow, right?

Just what the world needs.

Bieber fever!  I took this for you, Gerard!

It looks like it’s for real.

I took this one for you, Sean.

Looks like there’s a Lego TV special coming in the fall.

February 2, 2012 is the 3-D release date of Episode 1.

Last but not least here is a friend I made.

    Lots of cool pics Brian.

Did you not know about the Battleship movie? Yes it’s for real, with Peter Berg in the director’s chair and a random list of stars, from the screenwriters of RED.

Thanks for the Star Wars pictures! I didn’t know about the Lego special so that’s cool. Jami has that Dexter game by the way (surprise surprise)! Liam Neeson is in Battleship so that’s reason enough for me to see it.

Yeah I knew about it Aaron, but I was in denial 🙂

Yeah…Jami and I play it all the time online.

Awesome! I was just going to say how cool that Dexter game looked!

I have a friend who worked on Battleship.

Rhianna is in the Battleship movie. Brilliant pics, lad. Lovin’ the Marvel stuff. Another MIB movie though? Ugh.

    @Gregg

    Re:Rihanna

Now I know why I am in denial of that movie. Lol

But Brian, Battleship does have Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood 🙂
