Burbank, CA, July 19, 2016 – This case might raise a few eyebrows when “The Nice Guys” arrives onto Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD. Oscar® winner Russell Crowe (“Gladiator,” “A Beautiful Mind”) and Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling (“Half Nelson,” “The Big Short”) star in Silver Pictures’ action comedy “The Nice Guys,” from writer/director Shane Black (“Iron Man 3,” “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,” “Lethal Weapon”).
The film also stars Oscar winner Kim Basinger (“L.A. Confidential”), Matt Bomer (“Magic Mike,” HBO’s “The Normal Heart”), Margaret Qualley (HBO’s “The Leftovers”), Keith David (TV’s “Community”), Beau Knapp (“The Gift”) and young actress Angourie Rice.
Shane Black directed the film from an original screenplay he wrote with Anthony Bagarozzi. Joel Silver (the “Lethal Weapon” films, “The Matrix” films, the “Sherlock Holmes” films) produced the film under his Silver Pictures banner. Ken Kao, Hal Sadoff, Anthony Bagarozzi, Alex Walton and Michael J. Malone served as executive producers.
“The Nice Guys” will be available on August 23 on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $35.99, and includes the film in high definition on Blu-ray disc, a DVD, and a digital version of the movie in Digital HD with UltraViolet*. Fans can also own “The Nice Guys” via purchase from digital retailers beginning on August 9.
SYNOPSIS
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
