Scream Factory Announces THE MINI MOVIE MASSACRE!

Mini-Movie-Massacre-ThumbIt’s Halloween (and Happy Halloween to all you Why So Blu?-Heads!), so Scream Factory is loading up their announcements.  To up the ante today, they’ve announced a independent short film contest.  Select films will be shown on their YouTube channel.  Then, fans will vote on them.  It says there are awards, but I don’t really know what the big prize is.  But you’ll definitely get some attention and promotion with this contest!  Sounds like fun!  I can’t wait to see some of these entries!  For all the information and links to important things regarding the Mini Movie Massacre, check out the press announcement below.  If they send me further info, be sure to check back on Why So Blu, as I’ll keep you up to date!

CALL FOR ENTRIES STARTING TODAY!

SCREAM FACTORY™, the premiere horror genre home entertainment provider, announced today the launch of its MINI-MOVIE MASSACRE horror short film & video contest to be held on SCREAM FACTORY’s official YouTube channel SCREAM FACTORY TV (http://www.youtube.com/ScreamFactoryTV).  The call for entries is now open starting today, October 31 through the deadline of November 17. Presented by SCREAM FACTORY™, the 2013 MINI-MOVIE MASSACRE was created to shine the spotlights on some of today’s best independent horror short films and videos, emerging masters of horror, storytellers and budding scream queens. Entries deemed as the most distinctive will be selected for competition.  This year’s awards categories include Audience Award and Judges Pick Award selected by a panel of judges from SCREAM FACTORY.

Selected competition films will be broadcasted on SCREAM FACTORY TV and viewed by horror enthusiasts, fans and industry peers from around the world during the entire run of the showcase (November 20 – December 1). Viewers and fans will be able to cast their votes/likes after each screening. The Awards will be announced on December 2, 2013 via SCREAM FACTORY’s official website and social media channels.
