Season of the Witch is Coming to Blu-ray June 28th!
I missed this one in the theaters, but I know my wife really wants to see it because of Nicolas Cage. You’ve got to hand to Cage for starring in so many genre films despite the odds against them. This time, he also has another genre favorite with him as Ron Perlman stars as a fellow soldier who helps transport a woman who has been accused of being a witch. This movie is being billed as a supernatural action adventure but the trailer for it seemed to be marketed differently. This film also marks another collaboration between Cage and director Dominic Sena who last directed Cage in Gone in Sixty Seconds. Here is the early notification of the movie’s release:
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 28) – Oscar© winner Nicolas Cage (‘National Treasure’, Best Actor, ‘Leaving Las Vegas’) and Ron Perlman (‘Hellboy’, TV’s ‘Sons of Anarchy’) star in SEASON OF THE WITCH, a supernatural action adventure about a heroic Crusader, Knight Behmen (Cage) and his fellow soldier, Felson (Perlman) who must transport a woman accused of being a witch to a remote monastery. The arduous journey across perilous terrain tests their strength and courage as they discover the girl’s secret and find themselves battling a terrifyingly powerful force that will determine the fate of the world.

I give more credit to Cage than most, but I am not about to go very far with this one.
This kind of looks like another Wicker Man to me. Jami is excited about it though.
I heard it was awful, but curious to see Ron Perlman kick some ass. I know this sat on the shelf for a long time.
This was crud.
Sean, you don’t mean The Wicker Man starring Nicholas Cage, do you???

LOL Gerard you’re killing me! There’s another one that’s even longer and it just kills me every time. Jami likes that one too. 🙁
who does the commentary track on the blu ray? anyone know?
Nic Cage’s wig.
It wasn’t announced on the press release so it’s unknown so far but there will be at least one commentary track for the Blu-ray only.
