Spartacus: The Complete Series – Limited Edition (Blu-ray Review)
There’s no denying that the early success of Why So Blu can be traced back to three key triggering events in our website’s now six-year timeline. The odd or ironic thing about it is that all three of those events revolve around one premium cable television series. Yep! You guessed it…Starz’s Spartacus! Those events include the odd chance meeting of what would become one our website’s most prolific movie reviewers, Aaron Neuwirth, at the Comic-Con 2010 panel for Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, being the first site back in 2010 to publish a review of the much anticipated debut Blu-ray release of Spartacus: Blood and Sand and last but not least, the promotion of that Blu-ray review to the thousands of loyal Spartacus fans courtesy of the PR person any guy would be lucky to have in their corner. And because of all she does for us, Why So Blu is still kicking and thriving. So I guess it’s only appropriate that we’re here today, in her honor, to discuss the perfect Christmas stocking stuffer for that blood thirsty gladiator on your holiday shopping list this year, Spartacus: The Complete Series – Limited Edition on Blu-ray.
Spartacus kind of reminds me how the Saw films used to feel to me (I wrote an article about that latter subject right here). Remember just a several years ago how you knew it was Halloween season because there was a Saw film released theatrically that month of October? Well, the same principle applies for the Spartacus series. I’m so used to the annual late summer release of a Spartacus Blu-ray product that next summer just ain’t going to be the same without one. That’s how use to them I am. So what so ever should I do with my summer then next year? Hmm.
Please make no mistake, Spartacus undoubtedly, holds a place near and dear in my heart. I can go and on and share every link with you that we’ve published in promotion of the show or in regards to the tragic passing of Andy Whitfield, but I think you get the point. Without this premium cable series, who knows if this site would still be running. It’s destiny in my opinion. My favorite PR person’s promotion of the site when the first Blu-ray review ran boosted us into the spotlight back in 2010 and ever since we have been one of the most successful independent Blu-ray websites still around and I owe her and Spartacus a million and one thanks. And to think when I first saw this series advertised my mind initially raced to thoughts like what a ripoff of 300. Pff!
So I mentioned up above the many links I could share with you in regards to how we not only reviewed, but also promoted and discussed the Spartacus series editorially here on the site. Well, thankfully for you, those links are all neatly wrapped up for you down below. You see, Spartacus: The Complete Series – Limited Edition is a clever repackaging of everything you’ll find down below, namely the Spartacus: The Complete Series Blu-ray boxset, with one catch. It comes delivered to your front doorstep in one hell of a gigantic box, and also contains a “limited edition” figurine that doubles as a stowaway case for the Blu-ray discs complete with a secret compartment door on its back. How cool is that? This really is the MUST-BUY definitive collection of the series in HD for any Spartacus fan on your Christmas gift list.
The following links below encompass and thoroughly summarizes everything you’ll find in this Limited Edition Blu-ray set. From the Blu-ray set scores to the full, robust reviews themselves, you’ll find everything and more that you’re looking for in the below links. And guess what? I saved the best for last! Underneath all of these links you will find EXCLUSIVE unboxing pictures of this Limited Edition set complete with very detail pictures of the figurine itself. That’s what you’re all here to see anyway, isn’t? Don’t worry. Santa Brian has you covered and I’ll whet your blood thirsty gladiator appetite and have you wanting more. Enjoy!
