MANTLE MARIS RUTH

This is the anniversary of Ruth’s death. Both Maris and Mantle are well n their way to eclipsing a Ruth record 60 homers in a season, set in 1927. Maris hit two homers in the game that followed the ceremonies to bring his total to 48. Mantle has 45.
