Let’s try this again.  After Sony teased us last year with their announcement at Comic Con about the Ghostbusters’ Blu-ray release date, only to see it indefinitely delayed, they are at it again.  Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring  Ghostbusters to the Blu-ray format on June 16th to mark the 25th Anniversary of the film.  The film will be digitally remastered and will be presented in a 2.20:1 aspect ratio with a 1080P AVC encode.  The film will also boast a new 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.  Extras confirmed thus far include a “Slimer Mode: Picture-in-Picture Graphical Viewing Experience,” an Ecto-1 featurette, Ecto-1 gallery, filmmakers’ commentary, “The Making of Ghostbusters” featurette, interviews with the cast and crew, deleted scenes and storyboard comparisons.
