Alligator Loki Comics Collection

Alligator Loki??  He was not only my favorite surprise in the Loki series on Disney+, but my favorite surprise after walking into my local comics shop recently.  The dialogue-absent inaugural issue features twelve brief tales that follow Alligator Loki on a number of comical mishaps and interactions with various Marvel characters.

Alyssa Wong (Doctor Aphra) is the writer behind the Asgardian reptile’s chaotic jaunts, and yes, despite the lack of text, someone still has to map out where the story goes and Wong does so admirably here.  Also matching all-story duties is artist Bob Quinn (Red Sonja) who is responsible for the wonderful artwork throughout.  Additionally, colorist Pete Pantazis (Batman and Robin) does an incredible job of providing an eye-popping palette that is just beautifully color-soaked on these pages.

As of now, it appears this is a one-and-done kind of thing.  What is currently a standalone issue includes Marvel’s online Infinity Comics of Alligator Loki.  Not being an Infinity Comics user, this pickup in print was a no-brainer for me. Be sure to get your teeth on a copy today!
