Comic-Con 2017 Hall H: The Walking Dead

I completely understand that a lot Walking Dead fans aren’t crazy about Fear The Walking Dead. Fortunately for you then I have you covered with THE Walking Dead Hall H panel at Comic-Com this year. Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Chandler Riggs, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson, and Khary Payton join executive producer and showrunner Scott M. Gimple, executive producer Robert Kirkman, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer Dave Alpert and special effects makeup supervisor and executive producer Greg Nicotero in a panel that was supposed to be moderated by Chris Hardwick (The Nerdist, Talking Dead). The panelists gathered to discuss the past season, filming the 100th episode and shared some hints of what’s to come with a sneak peek into season 8, debuting this October on AMC TV.

Thankfully this panel happened.  I say that because due to a stuntman’s death during filming earlier in the week the show almost cancelled their appearance out of respect to the tragedy.  However, they felt they owed it to the fans to show up and deliver the goods.  Thank you!  We appreciated it.  Instead of Hardwick moderating the panel it was pretty much hosted by Scott Gimple.  He did a great job in my opinion.

We were treated to the Season 8 trailer twice. It had a very hypnotic, clocklike feel to it, which I loved.   Sadly the cast wasn’t photogenic at all as they slipped on the stage in the dark and unfortunately exited the same way, hence the panel only photos below.  Having watched the Season 8 trailer twice I’m still very confused by the ending.

The highlight of the panel for me though was Jeffery Dean Morgan.  He dropped a F-bomb In front of the captive audience and said “see this is how Negan should talk.  Thank God for the Blu-ray.”  Thank God indeed!  They edit the swear words in on the Blu-ray editions.

Runner up had to be when they heckled my boy Andrew Lincoln about how he pronounces the name Carl or when Carl (Riggs) joked about having two eyes as a way he is different in real life versus his character.

So without further ado here are some shots I took during the hour long panel.  Enjoy!
