‘G.I. Joe: The Movie’ Declares War on Blu-ray
Here’s a flick I remember with fondness from my 1980’s childhood. I remember like it was only yesterday when G.I. Joe: The Movie made its debut on television. I remember checking to see if I had the right television channel on because during a battle sequence Duke got shot and there was actually blood. WTF! There was never blood in G.I. Joe, not to mention anybody ever getting hit by a laser or stray bullet before. And who can forget about Cobra Commander’s horrific demise? Needless to say, I fell in love with the feature presentation. So I feel great pride when I announce that the cult hit phenomenon will see its Blu-ray debut on July 27th. Mark that one on your calendars folks. That’s the day we all re-live 1987 agin in all its High-Definition glory.
Special features include:
- Audio commentary with story consultant Buzz Dixon
- The eight final “Knowing Is Half The Battle” PSAs that were not on the G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero – The Complete Series DVD box set
- Original printable screenplay
- Art gallery
- Choose between the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio or the previously unreleased 1.78:1 letterbox version
