‘G.I. Joe: The Movie’ Declares War on Blu-ray

G.I. Joe: The MovieHere’s a flick I remember with fondness from my 1980’s childhood.  I remember like it was only yesterday when G.I. Joe: The Movie made its debut on television.  I remember checking to see if I had the right television channel on because during a battle sequence Duke got shot and there was actually blood.  WTF!  There was never blood in G.I. Joe, not to mention anybody ever getting hit by a laser or stray bullet before.  And who can forget about Cobra Commander’s horrific demise? Needless to say, I fell in love with the feature presentation.  So I feel great pride when I announce that the cult hit phenomenon will see its Blu-ray debut on July 27th.  Mark that one on your calendars folks.  That’s the day we all re-live 1987 agin in all its High-Definition glory.

Yowza! I think I have to get this. I only wish that the first three seasons of Batman: The Animated Series would come out on Blu-ray.
