Green Lantern’s First Flight on Blu-ray!

I know a lot of hi-def comic fans are excited for this upcoming release so I will skip all my usual B.S. statements and get right to the point.  Warner Bros. has provided final specs for their upcoming DC Comic Blu-ray release, Green Lantern: First Flight, debuting direct-to-video on July 25th.  This highly anticipated Blu-ray release will be receiving a BD-50 dual-layer treatment, with 1080P VC-1 video, a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and a rocking Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround audio track.  But wait…there’s more!  A second disc will also include a digital copy of teh film which is compatible with PCs and iTunes.

DVD and Blu-ray extras include the featurette “Behind the Story,” Green Lantern character profiles, previews of the upcoming ‘Superman/Batman Public Enemies’ and ‘Blackest Night’ releases, the ‘Duck Dodgers’ series episode “The Green Loontern,” and two additional bonus cartoons presented by Bruce Timm (information courtesy of High Def Digest).  And finally…drum roll please (couldn’t help the B.S. comment…sorry)…exclusive to the Blu-ray is a documentary titlted “I Am the Ring,” which explores the appeal of the Green Lantern and five additional bonus cartoons.

ONE HECK OF A PROMOTER!!! Also a Dreamer, Producer, Agent of Love, Film Lover, Writer of Screenplays and a Devoted Apostle to all things Ford Mustangs (the real ones with V8's!). Some of my favorite films include FIGHT CLUB, MOULIN ROUGE, THE DARK KNIGHT, STAR WARS alongside television shows such as SEINFELD, 24, SANFORD & SON and even the often loathed in the geek community BIG BANG THEORY. Outside of my three lives I live I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our three girls (of the furry kind).
