Jiminy Critic’s Top Films of 2010

It seems like it’s that time of year again.  End of the year picks for the top movies, in our opinions.  Well, I am as egotistical as anyone, and like to have my views known (wink, wink), so here are my picks for the best of 2010.  I see by reading the other posters here that some of our picks are similar, while we differ on a few others.  They will come around to my way of thinking sooner or later.  Ha Ha…It was a pretty good year for movies, and here’s hoping 2011 brings even better fare.  Let me know what you think of my choices.  (Hey, at least mine are the shortest!)  Have fun!  Jiminy Critic

10 – DAYBREAKERS – Unique, interesting take on the vampire story.  No “Teams” here!

9 – LET ME IN – Another vampire flick, this one has a whole new take on bullying.

8 – WINTER’S BONE – This one caught me by surprise.  Tough and harsh.

7 – THE GHOST WRITER – Overlooked thriller starring Ewan McGregor.  Directed by Roman Polanski.  ‘Nuff said.

6 – 127 HOURS – Can one man carry a movie and keep us interested?  You betcha!

5 – TRUE GRIT – Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin are fun to watch, but Hailee Steinfeld steals this movie.

4 – THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES – Foreign thriller which kept me interested throughout.

3 – THE SOCIAL NETWORK – The first scene in the restaurant grabs you, and then you are hooked.

2 – TOY STORY 3 – Yes, I know I am 48 years old…Problem?

1 – INCEPTION – Even when you’ve figured it all out, you haven’t figured it all out!  Fun!

Solid list Jim. As I pointed out to Gerard, I appreciate the world that was built in Daybreakers, I’d watch a TV show set there.

Ghost Writer is really good, made my honorable mentions.

The Secret In Their Eyes has been sitting on my table (netflix) for like a month now. I have to get on that soon.

Glad to see Daybreakers on your list.
