Nine Struts Onto Blu-ray This May

NineHey that rhymes!  ‘Blu-ray’ and ‘May’ that is.  OK.  Seriously.  I am very excited about this next Blu-ray announcement!  Drum roll please… May the 4th be with us this May as the Weinstein musical Nine sings and dances its way onto the Blu-ray format on you guessed it…May 4th!  The Sony Picture Home Entertainment film will be presented in a AVC MPEG-4 encode with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track.  My new found love for Penelope Cruz has me salivating for this release.  Oh God!  I almost forgot!  Fergie is in it too!  And I know it has to be good because Gregg says so (see his review over here).

I don’t find Penelope Cruz hot. She’s got a horse face and that voice is grating.

    IMO.

I used to think so too, but she can also clean up really well when the situation calls for it.

I thought Penelope looked pretty good Sunday night at the Oscars 🙂

Anyway, here are some of the Blu-ray disc’s extras (courtesy of High Def Digest):

“The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, likely a lossless soundtrack, and supplements will include: Commentary with director Rob Marshall and producer John DeLuca, eight featurettes, and three music videos.

Blu-ray exclusives include: Sophia Loren Remembers Cinecittà Studios, Screen Actors Guild Q&A, BD-Live, and movieIQ+sync featuring the “Nine” Playlist.”
