I am a big fan of Rob Zombie’s films and I even give Lords of Salem a pass. But 31 is absolutely terrible, and his worst film by far. None of the sets feel connected to each other or like they continue beyond the edge of the frame. The bad guys are stock, the editing and camerawork restricted. I would like to see someone give Rob Zombie the budget to do something like a Jack The Ripper period piece but it’s never going to happen when even an indie Kickstarter gets run into the ground. That being said, I may have to rent the Blu-ray just for the special features. Zombie always does engaging commentaries and making-of featurettes.
