SDCC 2016: Marvel Releases One Hall H Exclusive Online – The Cool Doctor Strange Trailer

12495089_917732818337636_531671956203621010_nMarvel Studios had a ton of stuff to show audiences inside Hall H, this past Saturday at Comic-Con, but only one of those things made it (officially) online and that’s the new trailer for Doctor Strange. This is the upcoming origin story film for Stephen Strange, the neurosurgeon-turned-hero of the mystical arts, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role. Scott Derrickson (Sinister) directs the film, which also stars Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel McAdams and Benedict Wong. Check out the trailer and the new poster for the film below.

Some were a little more excited than others by the first trailer for Doctor Stranger, but it was clear the film certainly had some unique approaches to depicting the world of mysticism. Comparisons to Batman Begins and Inception seem obvious at this point, but keep in mind that that origin story and the idea of bending worlds seems more than a little similar to what was already introduced in the Doctor Strange comics. Of course, this isn’t a matter of what and who came first, just enjoy what is being brought out from a visual standpoint. It also doesn’t hurt to get more of a feel for the action and humor that will be found in the film, let alone that American accent Cumberbatch is going for.

Doctor Strange will be in theaters and IMAX 3D November 3.
