SKYLINE Arrives on Blu-ray March 22!
I didn’t get a chance to see this in the theaters but you can read my fellow Why So Blu reviewer Aaron Neuwirth’s review here. I’m always up for some human vs. alien fighting though so I’m curious to see how it turns out myself. I know that both this movie and the Battle: Los Angeles movie’s trailers battled it out during the last Comic-Con leaving people in both camps excited about which one they liked the best. For those interested in Skyline or missed it in the theater, here is the info for the upcoming Blu-ray!
SKYLINE
ARRIVES MARCH 22, 2011
OWN IT ON BLU-RAY™ HI-DEF, DVD AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
FROM UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOME ENTERTAINMENT
OVERVIEW: It was supposed to be a simple birthday weekend in Southern California. But when sunrise arrives two hours early in the form of a haunting light from an unknown source, a group of friends watch in terror as people across the city are drawn outside and swept into massive alien ships that have blotted out the Los Angeles skyline. From tankers to drones and hydra-like extraterrestrials, the aliens are inescapable and seemingly indestructible. From the masterful directors, The Brothers Strause Skyline will keep you guessing in this action-packed sci-fi adventure.
In this heart-pounding thrill ride starring Eric Balfour (“Haven,” “24”), Donald Faison (“Scrubs,” Clueless), David Zayas (“Dexter”), Brittany Daniel (Little Man, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Scottie Thompson (“Trauma,” Star Trek), Skyline will take every survival instinct a group of friends has to elude capture. Skyline debuts on Blu-Ray™ Hi-Def, DVD, Digital Download and On-Demand on March 22, 2011 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Missed this one in theaters too, Sean. I will give it a rental on Blu-ray, though.
“Missed” 🙂
I’m skipping this one. I will settle for Milo on 24.
I didn’t care for Milo so he isn’t a draw for me on this one. I hope the rest of the movie makes up for him!
I’m pretty sure this got voted as one of the worst films last year.
I’ve heard good and bad things about it. I believe it did really well at the box office so some people liked it. Hearing that all of you didn’t like it doesn’t reassure me though.
For a supposed $10 mill budget (not counting marketing), it made over $60 worldwide. So that’s decent enough, although foreign markets are always game for special effects, regardless of quality – Airbender. It’s still a terrible movie.
Gene Simmons tweeted that he enjoyed Skyline.
…There was a lot of alien tongue action
Box office does not a good movie make… that being said, 6 times the budget isn’t bad for this one… Love the Milo comments!
