I can’t put into words how happy I am for this. Shout Factory is proving to be to Blu-ray what Anchor Bay was to DVD in it’s early days for horror fans. All of the releases I have from them (Halloween II & III, The Fog, Prince of Darkness, Day of the Dead) have been outstanding.

I imagine the commentary with Felissa Rose and Jonathan Tiersten will be a lot of fun. They interact with each other a lot on Facebook and Twitter, so it will be a blast to hear them talk about the movie in a commentary format.

That commentary is moderated by Justin Beahm, too. He’s pretty fantastic with those and provides plenty of research and great questions in his commentaries. He also keeps a great pace and never lets the conversation stop or die down. One of his best ones was on The Town That Dreaded Sundown where he had a case analyst and they went over evidence and had a full discussion of the real life situation the movie was based on.

As for Sleepaway Camp…its one of my top Blu-ray releases I’m anticipating for the the summer and year. Now if we could just get a double feature pack with parts 2 & 3…
