Soak in Blu-ray’s Hot Tub Time Machine
Here’s a title I owe it to myself to see. I have heard so many good things about it. Gregg Senko gave an excellent review of it here and I have heard from many people how it was just as funny as last year’s The Hangover (although I don’t see how that could be possible), as long as you remember and can laugh along with the 80’s. So needless to say, my curiosity is peaked at an all-time high! Get ready because John Cusack, Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson reunite for the most outrageous night of their lives on Blu-ray this summer when MGM unleashes an Unrated edition of the comedy Hot Tub Time Machine June 29th. LOS ANGELES, CA (May 4, 2010) – Three friends with less-than-fulfilling lives get the chance to go back and do it all again in the uproarious comedy Hot Tub Time Machine, heating up as an UNRATED, two-disc Blu-ray with Digital Copy and DVD June 29 from MGM Home Entertainment. Delivering “non-stop political incorrectness” and “about a billion laughs” (Los Angeles Times), the film stars John Cusack (High Fidelity), Craig Robinson (“The Office”) and Rob Corddry (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”) as buddies looking to recapture a little of their youthful glory by returning to the ski resort where they used to party. After a crazy night of drinking in the hot tub, they realize that they’ve been transported back to the 80s and into the bodies of their younger selves. Now they have to decide whether they should change their futures while wading through a sea of spandex, blue eye shadow and heavy metal hair bands. Hot Tub Time Machine also features a hilarious supporting cast including comedy legend Chevy Chase (Caddyshack), Crispin Glover (Back To The Future) and Clark Duke (Kick-Ass).
The soundtrack to Hot Tub Time Machine is also available now from Rhino (www.rhino.com) and features classic ‘80s tracks as well as Craig Robinson’s covers of “Jessie’s Girl” and “Let’s Get It Started” as featured in the film.
The Hot Tub Time Machine two-disc Blu-ray and DVD include over 10 additional minutes of unrated footage not seen in theaters. Both discs also feature deleted scenes, promotional spots and trailers and the Blu-ray includes a Digital Copy of the unrated version of the film.

I don’t think this was better than The Hangover but it’s still ammunition for some guaranteed laughs. Amazon is going to have to drop that price though before I buy. Once it’s $19.99, I’m game.
