Chu. “And even more thrilling is that with its availability on Blu-ray 3D, all the vibrance and spectacle of this film will give the audience an incredible in-home 3D experience.”

Chu, who made his directorial debut with Step Up 2: The Streets, again captures the liveliness and athletic feats of street dancing in eye-popping action with a talented cast of actors who defy gravity with their hip-hop moves in Step Up 3. Featuring multiple dance styles in addition to hip hop, including ballet, tap and tango, is a wild, animalistic joy to dancing that is irresistible and the talented cast makes it look easy.  The story itself centers on a pair of gritty street dance squads facing off in the World Jam, a high-stakes showdown that is the hip-hop Olympics and revolves around two couples – Moose and Camille (Adam G. Sevani and Alyson Stoner, from Step Up 2 and Step Up respectively), and new characters Luke and Natalie (Rick Malambri and Sharni Vinson).

New York’s intense underground street dancing comes alive in Blu-ray 3D when this tight knit group of street dancers (Malambri, Vinson) team up with Moose (Sevani) and find themselves pitted against the world’s best hip hop dancers in a gravity defying dance exhibition battle that will change their lives forever.  The soundtrack for Step Up 3 features chart-topping music by today’s hottest artists including Flo Rida featuring David Guetta, Trey Songz, Roscoe Dash & T-Pain, Laza Morgan and Wisin y Yandel.

  1. Gregg Senko

What a great movie this was. Simple in story, but it worked. The level of dance was nothing short of jaw-dropping. Last but not least, I felt this film made some of the best use of 3D to date.

  2. Aaron Neuwirth

Besides Inception, it seems that Gregg and I share a lot of likes. I too found this to be a very good movie for the same reasons. The 3D was fantastic and the dancing was very well handled. The way some of the dance scenes were shot were better than how many action scenes are shot in modern action flicks. My friends and I went in expecting to bag on this movie, but it became very tough to do so.

  3. Gerard Iribe

    Yeah, no.

  4. Sean Ferguson

I usually avoid these movies like the plague but I’m going to give this one a chance and try to keep an open mind. A lot of people said it’s really good including Brian and Gregg.

  5. Brian White

I loved it! 3D was done well too…in the theater!

  6. Aaron Neuwirth

Gotta use that 3D TV for something, right Sean?

  7. Sean Ferguson

Hey Disney is supplying a lot of 3D now!
