The Daily Blu…September 11, 2009

Well, once again there’s not too much to report on today in the world of Blu-ray.  The only thing I learned about is the availability of an X-Men Origins: Wolverine Best Buy Exlusive Blu-ray Gift Set.  It will be released at Best Buy on Wolverine‘s street date of September 15th.  In other news, there is word of a sequel to Hancock being made official now.  I was not a fan at all of the first film, but I guess I am in the minority here.  Speaking of being in the minority, a film I am looking forward to with much anticipation next week, Jennifer’s Body, was screened yesterday at the Toronto Film Festival and was met with mixed reviews.  However, there were those reviewers who absolutely loved it.  I still have a shimmer of hope that it can at least be decent.  We’ll report on that one next weekend.  In the meantime, I am off to go screen the ill-fated Kate Beckinsale thriller Whiteout and you can read all about my rants tomorrow right here.  I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised tonight, but the odds are not looking good in my favor.  Have a great weekend!

And let us not forget the men and women who boldly fight for our country and the families who lost so much on this day in 2001.  A moment of silence…

Some of my favorite films include FIGHT CLUB, MOULIN ROUGE, THE DARK KNIGHT, STAR WARS alongside television shows such as SEINFELD, 24, SANFORD & SON and even the often loathed in the geek community BIG BANG THEORY. Outside of my three lives I live I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our three girls (of the furry kind).
