The Daily Blu…September 25, 2009

Wow!  Up until a few minutes ago I only had one item of Blu-ray business to discuss, but then my world took a spin for the good.  Let’s start with the one item and then I will save the BEST for last.  Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced a December 1st Blu-ray release date for the Guy Ritchie film Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.  That’s right!  That is the same day Guy Ritchie’s Snatch Blu-ray will be released too.  How’s that for double the fun and double the pleasure?

This next bit of news is so BIG I felt the need to start another paragraph.  Words cannot describe how happy this next announcement makes me.  Preliminary rumors suggest and point to a November 3rd Blu-ray release date of Paramount’s beloved G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  The Amazon pre-order page is already up, but stripped of the November 3rd date that it originally had shown.  Only time will tell, but all signs are looking good for a November 3rd Blu-ray release date…and knowing is half the battle.  Yo Joe!

I felt it my civic duty to post a picture below of one of the many reasons that made my #2 movie of the year.

Pre-order your Blu-rays today with Amazon’s pre-order price guarantee and know that 1% of your purchase will go directly to making a difference in the life of a child at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To pre-order any Blu-ray mentioned in the above news article just click on the movie title link.
