The Daily Blu…August 5, 2009

We have a fair share of Blu-ray news to report on today.  Probably the most exciting news of the day, for me, is the potential release date of October 6th for the Warner Bros. Blu-ray of Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat.  Also, there is a very strong rumor that Warner plans to release 2009’s Orphan on October 27th.  Amazingly, there is also a release date buzzing around for the Blu-ray release of a film that has not even hit the theatres yet.  New Line has tentatively scheduled a December 22nd Blu-ray release date for The Final DestinationOne of my favorite monster movies, Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, will hit the Blu-ray format on October 13th according to Sony.  Universal Studios has announced a September 25th Blu-ray release date for Away We Go, which stars John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph.  Last but not least, Fox announced that the film My Life in Ruins should arrive on the Blu-ray format on October 6th.  The film stars Nia Vardalos, most known for her lead role in My Big Fat Greek Weeding.

Some of my favorite films include FIGHT CLUB, MOULIN ROUGE, THE DARK KNIGHT, STAR WARS alongside television shows such as SEINFELD, 24, SANFORD & SON and even the often loathed in the geek community BIG BANG THEORY. Outside of my three lives I live I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our three girls (of the furry kind).
